I love engagement sessions. They are such a great way for me to get to know you and your relationship, how you interact, how you are in every day life and how you love one another. Having photos of such an amazing, anticipation-filled time is a priceless documentation of a love and a hope that is once-in-a-lifetime. This engagement session is actually a few years old. I’m posting it today because it is one of my favorite sessions pre-this-blog and because I think it’s timeless. I want my images to tell the story of a timeless and real love. Since then, Katie & Jonny have brought this little nugget into the world! I feel so blessed to have clients like Katie & Jonny who ask me to document their family as it begins (in marriage) and as their story continues to grow into something so wonderful and full of life. I think next up I’ll have to actually blog some of their wedding photos. Katie & Jonny were married on New Year’s Eve on the beach in Florida a couple of years ago and it’s a day I will never forget. I documented the wedding day of a girl I hardly knew who over the next few months became a lifelong friend. Only immediate family attended their small destination wedding and now I look back and see how blessed I was to witness the marriage of a dear friend before I even knew she would become such an amazing part of my life. Have I said it lately? I love my job. Nashville wedding photographer, Kristyn Hogan, photographs the stories of beautiful people in Nashville, Iowa and around the world.
Hurray!!! Can’t wait to add to our collection of Kristyn Hogan family pics:)
How fun! I never would have guessed that this is an older session….yay for classic images!
What a fun session! Great images! I love the shot of them running through the water!
Beautiful, Kristyn!!! I love fun moments that show a couple’s personality, like running through puddles and streams. You did a fantastic job!
