Air Force Academy Wedding Photography ◦ Colorado Springs, CO ◦ EMILY & MIKE

My lil Em is married :) My freshman year of college I moved into the dorms and met a sweet lil lady named Emily. All the girls on our floor called her Little Emily because there were 2 Emilys on our floor. One was really tall so Emily got to be the little one :) That year I began photographing weddings and Emily believed in me the whole way. She vowed that year that when she found a boy to marry I would be there to photograph it. She kept her promise and a couple weeks ago, Husband and I traveled to Colorado Springs to photograph Emily marrying her Air Force man, Mike. When we landed in Denver on Thursday it was sunny and in the 70’s. We went on a gorgeous hike and enjoyed the day. And the next morning, in true Colorado fashion, we woke up to a blizzard. So even though it was snowy and in the 30’s on their wedding day, the sun was out enough to make it a beautiful day and I am so unbelievably happy for Emily and Mike. They were married at the famous Cadet Chapel at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO where Mike went to college and where Emily & Mike met. Since then the Air Force has moved them to Ohio but they brought back their closest friends and family to have a gorgeous destination wedding in the mountains and we had such a great time! We started out the day with photos at the gorgeous 5 star resort, The Broadmoor, where Mike proposed to Emily.And then made our way to the Garden of the Gods. This place will truly take your breath away. No words to describe the beauty. Emily & Mike were married in a very personalized mass with lots of music and a fantastic saber arch!
