You may remember Mary & Josh from their amazing engagement session last fall. I knew their wedding was going to be amazing and, no surprise, it was. Mary & Josh met at Lipscomb and they are just wonderful people inside and out, truly in love with each other and surrounded by so much love from their family and friends. Their wedding day is one we will never forget. As we arrived at Mary’s parents home in Brentwood the skies were blue and the weather looked absolutely perfect. We started photographing Mary getting ready and suddenly the skies darkened and it poured. As we drove across Nashville to The Hermitage for their ceremony and reception it felt a bit like a monsoon, jungle style. Then as we walked up to the chapel, the skies began to clear and the sun came back out. They were married in a beautiful ceremony and then as the reception began, a fog began to blanket all of us. The Hermitage is already such a historic, romantic place and the scene just looked like it was out of a fairy tale. It was a scene none of us will soon forget and I just adore the photo above of them from that moment.
It was next to impossible to narrow down photos to share for the sneak peek. To see more, visit our facebook page this afternoon!
Mary’s pink heels with bows and her great grandmother’s bracelet that she wore. LOVE!
Mary got ready with her bridesmaids in the room she grew up in. There is something so sweet about getting ready for your wedding in a place like that. The first time they saw each other on their wedding day. Moments like these are why I love a first look.I said this about their engagement session and I’ll say it again…Could these two be any cuter? NO!I love love love the soft color palette of this wedding. So classic, timeless and gorgeous! And peonies, berries & vintage hankies in the bouquets? Sigh.I love grandparents :)About to walk down the aisle…to the Forrest Gump theme. Mary gets my vote for best entrance song for a bride ever. Hands down. It was so moving.Their reception was simply lovely. In a little cabin by a spring on the estate of our 7th president, Andrew Jackson. With a few Pirates and Indians for good measure :)Mary and Josh, thank you for sharing your love for life and each other with us and all those around you. It was a blessing to document your wedding day and we hope you remember this day with joy, always.
