As much as I have “grown up” over the years from doodling and making art out of everything in site, I still have that passion to create; to collaborate on something creative and outside the bounds of expectation. When Latrice from Opulent Couturier tweeted weeks ago about finding Alice in Wonderland inspired eye shadows from Urban Decay, I immediately sent her a message about how fun it would be to do an Alice/Mad Hatter bridal shoot. She was just as excited about the idea as I was and immediately went in search of everything we would need to bring this idea to life.
We had such a gorgeous day at Centennial Park in Nashville made even better by all the amazing Nashville wedding professionals who came together to make this shoot fabulous. Our beautiful model, Betsy, was adorned in a perfect Monique Lhullier dress and accessories from The Bride Room (if you are a bride-to-be, you must immediately make an appointment to enjoy The Bride Room experience, trust me!).
The gorgeous bouquets were made by the insanely talented Hillary from Brocade Design Arts. She was SO ridiculously creative for this shoot, no surprise. Yes, that is a flower wrapped stem bouquet. Perfect for sweet Alice :)
I was floored by how amazing Betsy’s hair and make-up was. Her hair was done by Ashlee Sexton from Eye Candy Salon and make-up by Nyke.
So if you’re a bride thinking about doing a bridal shoot, why not step outside the box? I love doing conceptual lifestyle shoots for my clients and am always up for trying something new or different. You don’t necessarily have to be the Mad Hatter or go completely crazy but we can certainly incorporate YOU into your shoot :)
Speaking of Hillary’s creativity, she even made a “Cheshire” inspired bouquet! Do you see the cat eyes? Wow!

Love that Hat! This shoot looks like it was too much fun!
Kristyn… seriously…. seriously? Amazing! And seriously, I love Hillary more and more every time I see something she’s done. And the makeup is perfect for the theme. My favorite has to be the passed out with the teacup image. Amazing, Kristyn!
