A Spirited, Fresh, Timeless Life ◦ what this is

SPIRITED . FRESH . TIMELESS started out as a description of our life’s work. Documenting the spirited, fresh, timeless story of weddings in Nashville and destinations worldwide.

This is still very much true.

But over time it has also come to mean something else as well to us. LIVING the spirited, fresh, timeless story.

To our little family of two, it means learning to live with spirit, to live anew and fresh each day, to cherish what is timeless, to live a simpler life.

And oh, the simple life. We are on a journey of building a home where people feel welcomed and loved, where we grow our own food, where we enjoy God’s work in our lives and God’s work in the land. Where we nurture our spiritual, mental and physical well being. Where we can say a little farm in Tennessee is our very own.

I wrestled with documenting this journey by creating a completely different “personal” blog to separate our work from our life. But as I attempted this feat, it became clearer and clearer how impossible that task is. For our work is our life, because our life is in our work. I have this verse sitting on my desk and I look at it every single day.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. -Colossians 3:23-24

So if you come to this blog to see the documentations of spirited, fresh, timeless wedding stories. There will be plenty of that.

And along with that will be the documentation of our own personal journey to living the spirited, fresh, timeless LIFE.
