If you’re reading this, I’m probably on a plane to the Dominican Republic, which shares the island of Hispaniola along with Haiti. I’ve been to this island before along with over 15 other Caribbean islands where I have been blessed to photograph destination weddings full of love, families & beauty. This trip will be a little bit different. My purpose is still to photograph love but this time it will be for 800 families in the village of La Represa. Myself and 9 others are on our way to give these families something they’ve never had before: a family photo.
I have no idea what to expect from this trip so I won’t attempt to guess at what it will mean for me or anyone else involved. I just know that I will be there, doing what I love for those that need love. And I couldn’t be more excited :)
For clients, Matt will be here holding down the fort as always, answering e-mails and here for you in any way that you need. I will have some limited wi-fi here and there as well so things will go on as usual and I’ll be back on the homefront in a few days! Can’t wait to share all about the trip when I return. And hey, remember to hug your family :)

I’m so proud of you Kristyn and looking forward to hearing about your experiences. I’m sure your pictures will be amazing and the people of La Represa will feel the love that you so willingly share all the time. Praying for you and the entire group. Much love my sweet girl :)
