Not many people question the importance of having beautiful photographs to remember your wedding day or even the importance of engagement photos. But too often, we get married and forget the importance of documenting the love and closeness of what it’s like to be married. So I absolutely LOVE when married couples come to me and want to have photos taken together. To me, they are absolutely priceless. I love that Matt and I have photos of us together as we were dating, when we were engaged, on our wedding day and now, 3 1/2 years into marriage. Our love is different than it was 8 years ago and it’s even different than it was on our wedding day. And in 50 years I hope we are still documenting the growth of what it means to live life together.

So on that note, I was so excited when Mandy & David asked me to photograph them in honor of 10 years of being together and 4 years of marriage. Mandy is a wonderful photographer and friend here in Nashville and David is probably the strongest guy I’ve ever met. He owns Nashville Kettlebell and he rips phone books and bends frying pans like nobody’s business. And whips people into shape :) But aside from all that, Mandy & David are just amazing, kind people who love each other like crazy. And I think it shows :)

They have the coolest matching tattoos that incorporate their initials.
