Two things I remember loving as a kid. Reading and taking pictures. I think in both loves, I’ve always been intrigued with a great story.
In talking about living a purposeful life, reading has always been towards the top of my list. A cup of tea and a great book is an indulgence to me. So my goal for 2012 is to read 12 books. Historical fiction, interesting biographies, poetic stories…In January I accomplished 1/12th of the goal by reading Undaunted Courage by Stephen Ambrose (the story of Lewis & Clark). It was never a book I would have picked out on my own but Matt was sitting next to a man on an airplane talking about how much I loved the biography of John Adams by David McCullough. He told Matt that if I loved John Adams, I would love Undaunted Courage. Thank you random man on a flight to the Chesapeake Bay, it was such an adventure and I loved every bit of it!
