A historic farm with a beautiful 19th century home, gorgeous grounds and amazing style, what more could a bride ask for! If you’ve never seen Cedarwood, you must. One of the most idyllic settings for a wedding in Nashville and completely brimming with style and talented, kind people who make that style look easy. They invited me out this last week to be a part of some pretty amazing things (lots more on that later) and along with that, invited me to be a part of their Style Show. Since Linda at Cedarwood posted about this gorgeous Parisian Flea Market wedding inspiration that I had the pleasure of photographing on their blog I thought I’d post it over here for your delight! The moment I walked in and saw this amazing table at Cedarwood, I fell in love! Paris is known for being the city of love and it is so much more than that. Paris has such a rich history and a passion for life and I love how this table brings that together. Vintage books, gorgeous and bright fresh flowers, eclectic pieces of history like the old typewriter and even authentic French perfume!

I love how the past can be such a very real and beautiful part of our present and helps us to look on with hope toward an amazing future. A perfect metaphor for the beginning of a new family and the celebration of a wedding! I dated my husband, Matt, for six years before he asked me to be his wife in front of the Eiffel Tower on one of our trips to Europe. Our past, present and future was so real in that moment and as I photographed this beautiful design at Cedarwood I couldn’t help looking over at Matt and smiling.

I love when couples celebrate their story in all the little details of their wedding day, when it reflects who they are together and what they look forward to in their journey ahead. The beauty of life is found in the little details!

A beautiful historic manor outside Nashville, Legacy Farms is full of Southern charm and peaceful elegance. I was asked to photograph it’s beauty; the gorgeous historic home, the 19th century cabin, the covered pier overlooking the pond, the rustic scenery. The amazing ladies of Williamson County Weddings & Events styled the entire property for the shoot with gorgeous florals from Enchanted Florist. There were so many gorgeous elements to this shoot that I decided to share them in individual posts. First is a simple, elegant wedding set-up. In other posts I’ll share the beautiful bed & breakfast, some more gorgeous wedding inspiration and lovely touches from around the property. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Nashville Food Photography ◦ A CATERED AFFAIR

I’ve always known that I love photographing details. It’s no secret :) But I never really thought about enjoying photographing food. Do I love food? Duh. But usually at weddings it’s difficult to shoot food looking it’s best because it’s being enjoyed! So when A Catered Affair asked me to shoot their tasty dishes, I was so excited. And excitement turned into hunger as all this delicious smelling food was right under my nose on an empty stomach! Thankfully they cater a lot of the weddings that I shoot so I get to enjoy it on a regular basis :)

Here are a few of their delectable selections!

A Catered Affair offers midnight snacks which are a huge hit at weddings where the party keeps rockin. LOVE the cookies & milk! Sliders and sweet potato fries, yum! And of course I couldn’t leave without shooting one of their gorgeous cakes (The Bake Shoppe) ! They were decorating this before the shoot began and I hung out for a while watching the girls, like a live episode of Ace of Cakes :) And the magical florals of Enchanted Florist set out for a tasting!
